Entries for the 2011 program have now closed, however you can follow the progress of this year's contestants online through our facebook and twitter pages.

We will also be uploading some of the tutorials and seminars from the program, so make sure you keep an eye out.

Do you find yourself spending all your free time at the movies? Are you the person that sits in the theatre until all the credits scroll through? Are you secretly dreaming that one day you’ll see your name up on the big screen?

If you are an aspiring Emirati filmmaker, then Arab Film Studio can help you make your dreams a reality. Image Nation and twofour54 have joined forces to create an annual multi-disciplinary program that will give burgeoning filmmakers the training they need to have successful careers in the film industry.

If you are selected you will have the chance to participate in a three month training program that will teach you the basics of filmmaking – from pitching, developing an idea, and writing the script, to budgeting, casting and post-production.

At the end of the training program you will have the chance to create a final film project-a ten minute short-under the guidance of expert mentors from the film industry.  The winner and runner up of this final challenge will then be provided with a wide range of opportunities dedicated to further enhancing their film careers.
